Always known as an outstanding fielder, Colly took his 100th ODI catch today, Mahmudallah off of Swanns bowling. He also contributed to England’s win by top scoring with 75 runs.

This winter in ODI’s he’s passed the 100 wickets milestone.  He also has over 4500 runs on the clock.  A truly outstanding English all-rounder.

  1. Typical British Bulldog. Just imagine the likes of Bell and Cook had his sticking power….Pietersen even.

Cauliflower still needs a tan though, seriously.

  2. A tan! You cannot be serious? Colly is a strawberry blond / ginger type from County Durham – he is never going to tan in a million years!

But yes he is the best type of British cricketer – just gets on with it. It helps that he can bat bowl and field to a more than useful level, and if he has dropped some form in one the other disciplines can keep him going.

I think he is fantastic. It’s also nice to see he has been named as captain for the England squad for the ICC World Twenty20 in the West Indies (30 April-16 May).
